Matt is an experienced, successful serial startup entrepreneur, corporate whisperer and growth hacker. His experience in building solutions and companies and leading teams spans large financial institutions to Fintech, to payment systems to healthcare IT, informatics and predictive modeling, blockchain, AI and analytics systems.

A consummate curator of great people, trusted relationships and effective networks, Matt has spent most of his career in his native silicon valley and has lived through three major tech and business cycles.

A practitioner of the martial arts, he adheres to the principle “fall down seven times, get up eight times.”

A practitioner of meditation and mindfulness, he coaches and mentors his teams: “to be present, yet look ahead,” “to be energetic, yet grounded,” “to be listening, yet engaged,” “to be in motion, yet see the context,” “to be a teacher and a student, always approaching with the beginner’s mind.”

He currently leads a healthcare IT company as co-founder and investor, and sits on the board of several companies, as well as a not-for-profit and an international money transfer company (social impact), and mentors several startup ceos and founders. He is a maker, and has several iOT devices in pre-production and is a geek. He has been an adjunct lecturer/speaker at his graduate business school, and says that he “probably has a novel or two in him, when he slows down a bit.” He is a student and young alumni mentor for his undergraduate school and his graduate schools, and resides with his family on the San Francisco Peninsula, where he grew up.
